Happy Halloween!

So this was the first Halloween I finally dressed Jimmie up and we took him to a trunk or treat. I found this (overpriced) costume and fell in love. Funny thing though, it barely fit him when we bought it. Then, two weeks later, when the big day finally comes, he had hit a growth spurt. When he would walk, the legs in the costume would creep up to his knees. It only added to the cuteness. My favorite was the tail in the back.

He was quite intrigued by the large feet

Who wouldn't love this face.

Summer Fun

This summer has been pretty laid back for us. I've been sick, and now Jimmie is too. If it's what my sister and her son have, we've got pneumonia. We go to the doctor this week to find out for sure. Luckily it doesn't phase Jimmie Boy too much, he's just a bit more cuddly, fine by me. This summer we've enjoyed having a backyard with raspberries in it, a place to put a small pool, (pics to come) and room to roam. Our little family unit is doing well, and enjoying life.
He loves fruit. We enjoyed a lot of these, then made pancakes the next morning. Mmmmm.
Fresh raspberries

Raspberry and granola pancakes.
100% Boy.
MUD RULES! (still)

Quickie

We are still here.  I've been so busy getting tons of other photos done, but forgot to get more of my family.  Jimmie is turning 2 next week, so that will provide some.  So far the summer has been great.  We got to keep my sister's kid for a week, which was awesome.  They're old enough that they were super great help to me, and tons of fun.  I'm looking for a photography job, working for an employer, instead of myself.  And I'm working on having a GREAT attitude toward things.  Especially with where I am now.  You know... enjoy the journey... it's the climb.... etc.  So, that said, I'm going to head out to hang with my boys, and have a great time!

Where's Jimmie?

So I was just cooking breakfast and Shaun asked me if I knew where Jimmie was.  He had taken all the books of this top shelf.  Then he climbed onto that little rocking chair, continued climbing up the back of it, and made his way to the top shelf.  I was so amazed at how he found his way up there.  I guess this is a good explanation to why we call him "monkey."

What Jimmie's Been Doing Lately

So our super good helper not only helps in the yard, but also around the house.  Here he has gone into Gpa's room, then returned with as many Cokes as he could handle.  Then of coarse he wanted one, and why not, it was almost bedtime.  But after throwing a tiny fit, he was happy to go with the milk.

He loves dressing up.  He looks like such a prep.  Cutest one I ever saw.  Definitely my favorite one.
Check out this shiner.  The kid's tough.  We think he'll live. ; )
This pic was right after the accident.  I think he was pretty proud of it once he got a look of himself in the mirror.

YARD WORK

Last week while the weather was wonderful, and we were able to take our energetic son out, we also tried to clean up the yard.  Jimmie was more than willing to do his share.  He was working with us the whole time, and loving it.

Here he's helping Dad air up the tire.  Good thing he was there ; )

DIRT RULES!

And apparently it's better when put up your pant leg.  Tastes good too.

JimBo likes to shove his ball under this thing, then try to push it out, either with his feet or by crawling under it.
I've got the best helper around.  Shaun was all right too.

UPDATE

So I got the message that I needed to update the blog.  And as official family historian, I was more than delighted to do so.  In the last few months Jimmie's curiosity has grown.  He likes to get into everything, and wants to be doing everything that Mommy and Daddy are trying to do.  Shaun is really great with him.  He has Jimmie help him unload the dishwasher, sweep the floor, and has taught Jimmie about his eyes, ears mouth and nose!  I have to say our son has been picking up on these things quite quickly.  Okay we're prejudice and we "know" our son is the smartest kid in the world.
Jimmie- trying to have a different outlook on life.

Is this not the face of a genius!!!

One of his favorite drinks is an Horchata from Beto's

This is Stella.  Unfortunately, Gus left us for a better place.  Then our second rodent, Moe/ Dirtbag, got sick and we traded him in.  So now we have and older female, and she rocks!  Just the other night she escaped from her ball, and I found her at two in the morning.  She had abandoned her ball upstairs by Grandpa's room and made her way down the hall, past the kitchen, down the stairs, and next to our bed.  I think she's fabulous, and it's nice to have another girl in the house.
