YARD WORK

Last week while the weather was wonderful, and we were able to take our energetic son out, we also tried to clean up the yard.  Jimmie was more than willing to do his share.  He was working with us the whole time, and loving it.

Here he's helping Dad air up the tire.  Good thing he was there ; )

DIRT RULES!

And apparently it's better when put up your pant leg.  Tastes good too.

JimBo likes to shove his ball under this thing, then try to push it out, either with his feet or by crawling under it.
I've got the best helper around.  Shaun was all right too.

UPDATE

So I got the message that I needed to update the blog.  And as official family historian, I was more than delighted to do so.  In the last few months Jimmie's curiosity has grown.  He likes to get into everything, and wants to be doing everything that Mommy and Daddy are trying to do.  Shaun is really great with him.  He has Jimmie help him unload the dishwasher, sweep the floor, and has taught Jimmie about his eyes, ears mouth and nose!  I have to say our son has been picking up on these things quite quickly.  Okay we're prejudice and we "know" our son is the smartest kid in the world.
Jimmie- trying to have a different outlook on life.

Is this not the face of a genius!!!

One of his favorite drinks is an Horchata from Beto's

This is Stella.  Unfortunately, Gus left us for a better place.  Then our second rodent, Moe/ Dirtbag, got sick and we traded him in.  So now we have and older female, and she rocks!  Just the other night she escaped from her ball, and I found her at two in the morning.  She had abandoned her ball upstairs by Grandpa's room and made her way down the hall, past the kitchen, down the stairs, and next to our bed.  I think she's fabulous, and it's nice to have another girl in the house.

IT'S ANOTHER BOY!!!

Meet GUS.  Our long haired teddy bear hamster.  Isn't he cute!  We decided to get a pet after Jimmie spent about ten minutes thoroughly enjoying a spider.  He go so excited at one point that he smacked the poor thing.  So when Shaun got home I told him it was time for a pet.  Jimmie has been so excited ever since we put him in the box at the pet store. We think he'll make a good lil' buddy for us.

SANTA?

"The Chimney is good to go!"

Even though Thanksgiving is still a few days away, Jimmie decided that we needed to prep for Christmas.  He climbed into the (unused) fireplace to make the appropriate arrangements to make sure that Santa could fit down the chimney this year.  Not having access to the proper tools this creative thinker instead used this fine blond curls to clean it out.  Then proceeded to use his hands, belly, feet, and any other part of his body to clean up any other left over soot.  Unfortunately for Mommy and Daddy, we now have more mess to clean up.  But he had so much fun, and thought it was so funny that we had to get pictures of it.

For a family activity, we got some pumpkins.  Aren't the so festive.  This year we chose not to clean out the inside, so we just carved off the top layer.  We were using everything creative we could find out of grandma's kitchen.  Included, we knifes, melon baller, unknown thing that Jimmie had an attachment to, cheese slicer, putty knife, and ice pick.  Jimmie did most of his help by sitting on Shaun, and/or his pumpkin.  But we got them finished up and put the on display out front.

Well here we are in our new abode.  We have moved south about two hours from our previous dwelling.  While being here, it's our job to make sure that Gpa Johnson is okay and to fix him dinners.  But, unfortunately/ fortunately, Gpa fell down the stairs and broke a leg.  He's doing fine, and we have the whole house to ourselves.  But he's recoving well so he will soon be home again.  My parents have already visited and helped us move a bunch of our stuff to the downstairs where we will be staying.  We spent the first week packing and moving everyone else's stuff out of the basement.  Now we have our semi organized boxed life where it won't be in anyone else's way.  Jimmie is loving it.  The backyard has a see-saw, swings, basketball court, yard, trees, and a bunch of other overgrown stuff.  He enjoys exploring, and he's so darn cute when he does.  So far we enjoy it here and we're grateful for the love and support from our families.

All About Us

Shaun and I got married in October of 2005. We met each other through mutual friends, and soon hit it off. We dated for two and a half months, then he proposed to me. It was quite the ordeal. He got a cop to pull him over and arrest him. Then convince me that he had some warrants out for his arrest. I was then allowed to get my car keys out of his front pocket, but instead found my engagement ring! He got hit a couple time for it. And to record this ensamble, he managed to have the neighbors in the area video tape it. Then his dad made us a movie. It's all kind of funny. Two and a half months after that we got married.
Shaun was going to college to be a mechanical engineer, and I was working full time. About two years later we had Jimmie in the summer of 2007. He's been our subject of discussion every day since. We're very happy and proud to have him. He makes us laugh all the time, he is great to have around, and we couldn't be happier about getting to be his parents.
